Pure is based in one of two separate locations depending on the time of year: The Whitsunday Islands in the winter (April to October) or the coast between Brisbane and Sydney (November to March). She is moved south for the summer because The Whitsundays are in the tropics and the area is prone to cyclones.

The Whitsundays are an archipelago of over 70 islands in the Coral Sea just off Australia’s eastern seaboard, and form the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. Most of the islands are uninhabited but afford unrivalled tranquillity when at anchor, and superb access to the nearby coral reefs for snorkelling and scuba diving.

The South East Queensland and New South Wales coastlines are dotted with small harbours and inlets whose beauty can only be fully appreciated when approached from the sea.
